VIP Terminal Services

The VIP Terminal is located approximately 1,200 meters east of the domestic terminal at Sanya Phoenix International Airport , with a building area of 13,000 square meters. It is the largest single-unit VIP terminal in China. Its design, while meeting all functional requirements, fully embodies the artistic aspect of architecture. It combines functionality with architectural aesthetics, absorbing the essence of terminal design and showcasing the unique image of Sanya, Hainan Province. The VIP Terminal provides seamless one-stop services, including greeting, information assistance, guidance, check-in, security screening, baggage check-in/claim, waiting lounges, and shuttle services, ensuring you travel with the utmost comfort and prestige.

VIP Service Appointment:

Companies or individuals using VIP lounge services are required to make reservations 24 hours prior to flight departure/arrival. Reservations can be made via phone or by providing VIP information (such as names, the number of individuals, identities [especially national-level VIPs], flight number, intended usage time, and related details) in written or faxed form to the VIP terminal. (From April to October each year, except during holidays, the reservation window may be extended to 6 hours before flight departure/arrival.)

Instructions for VIP Customers

1. Checked Baggage Guidelines

1.1 Carry-On Baggage Guidelines

First Class and Business Class: Each passenger may carry two pieces of carry-on baggage. Economy Class: Each passenger may carry one piece of carry-on baggage. The size and weight limits of carry-on luggage are subject to the standards published by each airline.

1.2 Free Checked Baggage Allowance

Full-service airlines: Economy-class passengers have a baggage allowance of 20 kilograms. Business-class passengers have a baggage allowance of 30 kilograms. First-class passengers have a baggage allowance of 40 kilograms. Infants passengers don't have free baggage allowance.

For airlines with differentiated baggage policies, the weight displayed on the ticket is used as the standard for baggage allowances.

1.3 Excess Baggage Fee

Passengers with excess baggage are required to pay an excess baggage fee. The rate for excess baggage on domestic flights is calculated at 1.5% of the economy class full fare, and the amount is in yuan. (For airlines with differentiated baggage policies, the calculation method is subject to each airline.)

2. Security Check Knowledge and Usage Guidelines

2.1 What are the valid documents for taking a flight at the airport?

According to the “Civil Aviation Security Inspection Regulations”, the types of valid identity documents for taking a flight include:

For residents of the Chinese Mainland: resident ID card, temporary resident ID card, passport, military officer card, military civilian cadre card, compulsory serviceman card, sergeant card, military civilian staff card, military employee card, armed police officer card, armed police soldier card, seafarer card. For residents of Hong Kong and Macao: Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents. For residents of Taiwan: Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. For foreign passengers: passport, Certificate for Diplomatic Personnel in China issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Permanent Residence Permit for Foreigners. Other valid travel identity documents as stipulated by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

For Chinese mainland residents under the age of 16: birth certificate, household registration booklet, student ID card, or identification issued by the public security organ where the household is registered.

2.2 What items that civil aviation passengers are prohibited from carrying both as carry-on and checked baggage?

Firearms and other weapons, explosives or combustible materials and devices, restricted items, dangerous items, infectious disease pathogens, sparks (including various ignition devices), power banks with rated energy exceeding 160Wh, lithium batteries (lithium batteries used in electric wheelchairs are otherwise specified), alcoholic beverages with a volume percentage of alcohol greater than 70%, highly magnetized items, items with strong, irritating odors or are prone to cause panic among passengers, items with an unclear nature that are potentially dangerous, and other prohibited transportation items stipulated by national laws, administrative regulations, and rules.

First-Class Lounge Services

The domestic and international first-class lounges at Sanya Phoenix International Airport are located at the departure sterile area of the domestic and international terminal. They primarily serve first-class passengers from airlines (excluding China Southern Airlines) and various elite passengers holding gold and silver status cards, offering a place for relaxation and providing personalized, high-quality services.

Services at the Domestic and International First-Class Lounges:

1. Passengers entering the first-class lounge are required to present the VIP lounge card to the staff.

2. Once entering the first-class lounge, passengers can enjoy a self-service selection of meals, beverages, coffee, snacks, and other services.

3. Various newspapers and magazines from mainstream media are available for passengers to read at their leisure.

4. Flight announcements and guidance for boarding are provided over the intercom, including directions to remote gates, based on agreements with airlines.

5. Throughout the entire process from entering the lounge to boarding, passengers are guided and assisted as per agreements with the airlines.

Note: Non-first-class passengers using the first-class lounge will be subject to relevant fees, as per the business VIP lounge fee standards.

V1 First-Class Lounge: Located the departure sterile area across from Gate 211 in Terminal 1.

V2 First-Class Lounge: Located on the third floor the departure sterile area across from Gate 216 in Terminal 2.

V3 First-Class Lounge: Located the departure sterile area across from Gate 208 in Terminal 1.

International First-Class Lounge: located at the departure sterile area on your right hand after immigration check.

International Business VIP

The International Business VIP service is solely dedicated to ensuring the seamless journey of passengers holding business VIP tickets. It strives to deliver an exceptional experience by facilitating smooth registration, extending a warm welcome, and assisting with flight check-in procedures. Located within the secure area of the international terminal (commonly referred to as the international first-class lounge), this exclusive lounge is designed to cater to the needs of departing passengers on international flights.

Using Procedures for International Business VIP Service:

1. Upon arriving at the international terminal, passengers are expected to complete flight check-in procedures before gaining access to the Business VIP lounge.

2. Once entering the International Business VIP lounge, passengers are welcome to enjoy a selection of beverages, snacks, and access to mainstream media newspapers and an array of magazines.

3. Flight boarding reminder will be announced by the intercom.

4. Passengers proceed to the designated departure gate for boarding on their own. If they require transportation assistance, additional charges may apply.

Using Procedure for International Business VIP One-on-One Concierge Service:

1. To access the International Business VIP lounge, an advance reservation by phone is required. Passengers should arrive at the international terminal 120 minutes prior to the departure time indicated on their tickets.

2. Upon arrival at the international terminal, an attendant will assist with check-in procedures, guide passengers through customs inspection, immigration inspection, as well as security checks,  and lead them to the international first-class lounge.

3. Once entering the international first-class lounge, passengers are welcome to enjoy a selection of beverages, snacks, and access to mainstream media newspapers and an array of magazines.

4. Flight boarding reminder will be announced by the intercom.

5. Passengers will be transported by a VIP vehicle to the boarding gate.
